Kate Cole is an LCSW who obtained her MSW through U of L’s Kent School of Social Work and minored in Equestrian Science at William Woods University during undergrad. Kate has experience providing individual, group, and family therapy to all age groups. Kate’s experience focuses on children and families' unique needs facing serious emotional disabilities, trauma, and adolescent substance use or abuse.
She has over 16 years of experience working with children and families who are actively experiencing a mental health crisis. Kate has held management positions, running both inpatient and outpatient programs through a local Community Mental Health Center.
Kate is certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy and has experience working with both survivors and perpetrators of abuse. Kate enjoys working with all age groups but specializes in teens struggling with trauma responses, substance use problems, depression, and self-harm.
